VARENTUM / TRACK 1 / CLIENT DISCUSSION DRAFT

Being good at the work is the beginning.

Learn to lead the people doing it. For capable workers and project engineers taking on people leadership: former peers, experienced crews, expectations, delegation, private correction, and decisions under pressure.

Proposed focus, existing framework. The eight-week sequence below is a proposal inside Track 1's 12 weeks. It does not replace the accepted curriculum. Agree delivery and optional outside feedback before a pilot starts.

Eight first-promotion practice weeks

  1. 1. Stop doing everyone's workAgree decision limits; delegate one result and check back.
  2. 2. Lead a former peer fairlySet one consistent expectation and follow through.
  3. 3. Earn a veteran's trustListen, verify the governing source, use expertise, and close the loop.
  4. 4. Make the plan understoodBrief the task, check the current revision, and hear a read-back.
  5. 5. Correct privatelyName the observed gap, listen, agree a next action, and re-observe.
  6. 6. Delegate without disappearingAgree resources, authority, intervention limits, and check points.
  7. 7. Decide under pressureHold affected work at critical uncertainty; route release to the assigned authority.
  8. 8. Lead when conditions changeCombine briefing, delegation, concern handling, and reflection.

Weeks 9-12: retry gaps, add harder variations, transfer to a different crew or task, and compare closing and baseline scenarios.

One weekly practice cycle

Short lesson → realistic scenario rehearsal → actual field assignment → private reflection → personalized debrief → brief optional trusted observation.

Solo is AI-coached. Company cohort debriefs are AI-drafted and founder-approved. Your own goal drives the practice. Outside observation is optional; no supervisor assignment or employer sign-off is needed. Solo has no employer reporting connection.

Evidence with clear boundaries

Compare baseline and closing scenarios; keep your self-report, optional observation and any work artifact separate. Rate behavior: absent, prompted, independent, repeated under changed conditions. Plan a 30-60-day follow-up.

Private coaching responses stay separate from employer reporting and promotion decisions. Current company visibility is access, week, completion and group totals. Additional evidence reporting needs separate agreement.

The employer retains promotion and task-authorization decisions. Project engineers coordinate within assigned authority. Leadership practice does not replace required safety procedures or technical decision-makers. No customer outcome is claimed.
